The deadline for Landlords to obtain an EICR is rapidly approaching. 1st April will see the introduction of a new Law requiring all rental properties to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).

With the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard now in effect, Banks and Commercial Lenders are asking borrowers to provide commercial EPCs to ensure that their security is not dimished by a property failing to meet the MEES of E rating. 

The MEES will be in full effect from April 2018 and will mean that Landlords in the private rental sector will need to acheive a minimum of E rating in order to legally rent their property.
